Hello anyone out there, can you tell me if when on XP,
can you NOT delete the history folder? Is there a way to
block someone from doing that? Also, is there a way to
specify which programs you want on someone's account, for
example, could I take off Internet Explorer--or how about
not being able to install files or programs on the
computer? I would sincerely appreciate anyone's comments!

I have never tried but I do know that if you delete it,
it will probably will return because it is a SYSTEm file
and they are stord in a repair folder...if you del it and
reboot - it's back. Why not just set the days to keep
pages in history to 0...( look in Intewrnet options in
the control panel...

In general, you can go into Explorer and find the
folder "Documents and Settings". You may place shortcuts
for the users in their corresponding folder..IE. If you
install say Ad-aware and want everyone to have access to
it then put the shortcut into the all users folder under
start menu. In order to block someone from not adding /
installing programs you need to make their account a
limited user account ( control panel / user accounts.
This will work if you set PASSWORDS to the Administrators
accounts...Don't for get about the hidden admin account
in safe mode...this is like a "backdoor". Don't know your
situation, hope this worked. Any questions feel free to
contact directly through e-mail.
