Hello,
Since the MS update site picks critical and other updates
depending on the system that logs in the site, is there a
way to put all critical and/or recommended and/or driver
updates for a system in a bundle, get a link for it and
download the whole bundle from another system?
I have a dialup connection and the update site has 35MB of
updates for this system. I would like to be able to
download all of them as a package from another system with
a broadband connection. Is that possible?
I tried using the update update catalog a few days ago and
picked all available updates for an XP system, and the
update site downloaded dozens of programs, each in its
own subdirectory, all named with codes, etc. Am I supposed
now to put all this on a CD, take it to the system that
needs updating, go into each subdir and run each program
there? It doesn't seem like a reasonable thing to do.
Thanks for your help.
