I currently have Office XP Small Business on my PC. It was preloaded by PC
manufacturer and included Publisher but did not include Powerpoint. Now I'm
considering buying Office 2003 Teacher/Student version which includes
Powerpoint but not Publisher! Can I load just the Powerpoint application
from Office 2003 or must I load the entire Office 2003 package and loose
Publisher? I really don't want to buy Powerpoint as a separate program!

Yes, when you install any version of office you are given the option to
install any or all of the components. So when you install the new copy make
sure you select the "custom" install option. Then it will allow you to chose
what you do or do not wish to install.

The following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article (828956) may be of some help:

You might also consider going to your local Computer Show and Sale where
might be able to pickup Office Professional Edition 2003 for really cheap
price.

Office Professional Edition 2003 includes BOTH PowerPoint 2003 and Publisher
2003 (along with Word 2003, Excel 2003, Access 2003, and Outlook 2003 with
Business Contact Manager).

If you are looking for a local Computer Show and Sale, take a look at the

Even if you can't get to a Computer Show, look for Office Professional
Edition 2003. You may even be able to get it cheaper if you purchase the
Upgrade version in which you can use to upgrade from Office XP to Office
2003.
