I fairly new to Outlook, my company switched to it about a year ago. In my
old PIM I could link any item to any other item. Such as creating a Note,
link it to a Contact, and email, and an Appointment. Pulling up anyone of
them showed the links to the others.

I want to do that in Outlook, is it possible? I'm primarily interested in
linking Email and Notes, even linking one Note to another.

For instance, I record phone calls in individual Notes. I also store the
history of a particular issue in a Note. And of course I'm going to get
emails regarding the issue. When I pull up the main Note containing the
history I want to be able to see, and get to, other notes and email related
to it.

We're using Outlook 2003 and Exchange. My Inbox is on the server but I store
archived mail in a PST on my local drive.

if you link it to a contact, yes.
