Currently i have .NET 2003 installed on my computer, can i now go ahead &
install .NET Version 2 (2005).
Without any repercussions???

Regards,
Paul

2 will have no effect on 1.1 so yes, but you cant develop with 2.0 in the
2003 IDE though you will need VS.NET 2005 or develop by hand using the
included compiler in 2.0

Hi Paul,

Do you have a non Beta version of 2005 or the final release?

Because with all Betas you can get problems. That is the reason wy it is a
Beta and not even an RC (Release Candidate)

The Beta Version is only just being released now. Final release will not be
until next year

I am running both side by side. However, you may well find that i screws up
IIS on your machine or other functions. Normally, you should be able to run
side by side with no problems, just remember that this is beta

Hi Terry,

Is my name wrong in your newsreader?

until next year

I know that, however sometimes asking a question is as well answering a
question.

Any definite date for this??
Ie for the release of the final version.

I /would not/ do that if I depend on the machine.

Well, then i'll install another instance of an OS (win2k) & then install
..NET 2.0 in this.
I guess this is safer, isn't it?

Yes, that's IMO the best way. I use Virtual PC for testing beta versions.
