Somehow I've managed to lose my disc. XP is installed with the registration
key on my machine, but I want to use NTBackup which I'm told is on the disc.
How do I get hold of one? It's disappeared.
Help!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ian.

If you don't have an XP CD, you can download ntbackup.msi at
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/software/ntbackup.msi Also see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=302894

However, if you don't have your CD, you are likely to run into more severe
problems in the future, for example, if you ever need to reinstall or repair
Windows.

if you have proof of ownership, MS should send you a new CD.
contact MS.

What's the best way to contact them for this purpose?
Sorry I am so thick.

Ian.

why are you cross posting???

Do you have retail or MFG OEM CD?

IF MFG OEM, you have to get from computer MFG!!!
If retail, order from MS.

which do you have?

I thought that was when you post same message in different newsgroup w/o
creating a link bet. the two.

there is the same post in another newsgroup.

And, appointing yourself as the Net-Nanny is even worse.

| okay so this person is multi posting which is worse.

What does that make you, an anti-net-nanny-nanny?

Mutiposting wastes a lot of peoples' time, at least crossposting is
linked across NGs.

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

If it was an OEM license, you should contact the computer's
manufacturer.
