Can I find what my word document looked like 1 month ago?

My office saves documents on a shared file server (not exchange server).
Unhelpful changes have been made to the document. Is there a way that I can
retrieve a copy of what the document looked like 1 month (3 weeks, etc.) ago?

*If* you have "Always create backup copy" enabled, then you can look for the
"Backup of <filename>.wbk" file; it will be the last previous saved version
before the current one. If it's been saved more than once (with the
"unhelpful" changes), then your only recourse may be to backups that your
corporate IT may have kept. Unless you emailed the file (or received it in
email); if you still have the email on your machine, you can open the
attachment and resave it under a different name.

Ask your office's network administrator to get you the file from
a backup tape/disc made like 1 month (3 weeks, etc.) ago.

Won't help you fix this particular problem but might help avoid similar
situtations in the future: Google "electronic document management systems".
