G Guest Apr 18, 2005 #2 Hi Sharon- One of the reasons documents are provided as PDFs is so they _cannot_ be modified by using word processors or other software. If you are using Acrobat (not Acrobat Reader), you may be able to open a PDF and revise it as a new PDF or other file type. HTH |:>)

G Guest Apr 18, 2005 #3 In short, no - you need a converter. The fact that you want to open a PDF document in Word implies that you want to convert the PDF to Micorsoft Word. I don’t work for Scansoft, but I’m ecstatic that I found something that works. You can try PDF Converter at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/EM010948541033.aspx?CategoryID=CE010171771033. You can’t convert PDF documents to Microsoft Word for free. You have to purchase software from someone to do it. That’s just the nature of this beast. But for only $50, you want be disappointed in my recommendation.
