SP2 works great, and I'm not going to uninstall it!
Is it safe to remove the backup folder it creates?

Thanks

Greetings,

In my opnion, don't touch that folder. :-) You'll be safe!

Best of Luc!

geotso,

When you do have a problem down the road, having these files saves a lot of
time reinstalling certain files. If your harddrive is big enough leave it
there. You can right-click each folder and check 'Hidden' if you don't like
seeing them every time you open the Windows folder.

Drew,

Those files are stored under C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles, the
$ntservicepackuninstall$ folder is only used for uninstalling and can be
deleted without reservation as long as the poster is certain they do not
want to remove the service pack.

Thanks all of you guys!

FYI, as far as the 20+ applications I use frequently collaborate
harmoniously with SP2, I think that there's no cause for concern!
So, I'll delete that folder.

Thanks again.
