Can I copy my C: partition to hard drive #2 with image software?

My computer (P4, XP Home) has two IDE hard drives (40GB and 80GB). Can I
make an image of the #1 drive C: partition, using DriveImage or TrueImage,
and then "restore" that image to a primary partition of the #2 hard drive?
Then I would go into my BIOS setup and make the #2 drive my Boot drive, and
operate my computer from the #2 hard drive. That would make a neat
disaster backup. I have Partition Magic 7.0, etc.

This seems too easy. :-) Are there any pitfalls to watch for?

Thanks for your advice.

Ugh! I just remembered those master/slave jumpers. I should have known it
was too good to be true.
