Can I control where windows open?

I've just installed Outlook 2002 on my Windows XP computer.

I notice that when I open a new message, the message window that
Outlook creates seems to be positioned at arbitrary places on the
screen.

I'd like to force Outlook to create new windows in a specific location
(like the lower right-hand portion of the screen.)

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks,
Jim

It's not actually arbitrary. There's a pattern, if you watch closely
enough.

I don't know of any way to force this. Typically, if you have a particular
window on screen and close it, the next instance of that specific window
should appear in the same place the prior instance of that window was when
it closed.

Thanks for the reply.

This is exactly the behavior I was counting on. I know that in the past, I
have arranged all of my windows just the way that I want it, and Outlook has
then created new windows in these locations.

This time around, Outlook is not behaving this way.

My main Outlook window is located in the lower right-hand portion of the
screen. I create a new message window and position it in the same location.
I exit Outlook (using the File, Exit method).

When I restart Outlook and open a new message window, the window appears in
the upper left-hand portion of the screen.

Surely there must be a way to get Outlook to do this?

Rgds,
Jim
