Can I configure my day view to show a range of hours?

Present view is too narrow for scheduling. I would like to see 8 AM to 10 PM
to see all appointment blocks. I would also like to narrow the view to a 4
hour view for working use.
 
you need to change your screen resolution to do that,
start/settings/control panel/display, Settings tab,
screen resolution, slide it to the right, more, that will make everything
smaller on your screen, and therefor fit more.
that's all or nothing, can't narrow it again for a working view
