Can I Change the size of Blinking Cursor?

When you go type, there is a little blinker, letting you know where you are about to type. Mine unfortunately has changed sizes on me. It used to be quite a bit larger than the letters, and now it has been cut basically in half. I get confused when I go to pick the sizes of my fonts. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I would really appreciate any help you all can give!...

Thanks,

Josh, I have the exact same problem, suddenly my cursor is so tiny I can barely see it. Did you get any responses to your query? I'd be interested in a solution. Thanks!

I have had this problem for a while and puzzled as to how to resolve it.
This afternoon I suddnely found that I had tiny cursor syndrome and in desperation I changed the zoom to 500% to see what happened. The cursor changed to a size commensurate with the large type. Then when going back to 75% my normal typing mode the cursor resumed its normal size! Time will tell whether this is a proper cure.

But if it is the cure I think that the problem is caused in the first place by zooming out to say 25% - I need to do this from time to time to position pictures on the right pages. Maybe the cursor is still remembering its 25% size - if so Microsoft please note

I am having the same problem. Following John F.'s solution helped me also, but once I save the file, the cursor shrinks again! HELP!

On my machine the problem seems now to be much less than before.
On the occasions that I do get the tiny cursor, I have continued to fix it by zooming in to 500% and then back to my working size of 75%. But that's not a solution.

I haven't encountered MrMan&Fam's problem but I will look out for it.

When I had the problem the cursor would behave OK at the start and then show itself during a typing session.
When I applied the zoom in zoom out trick it rectified itself and it didn't reappear on saving and retrieving (if my memory serves me right).
I posted my first contribution to this thread on the 9th June and while I continued to get the problem for a couple of weeks afterwards, it hasn't occurred recently.
At the moment it's well behaved and I can't reproduce the fault. The only thing I've done since I last saw the fault has been to update my Windows XP
But I haven't updated Word recently.

I had this problem as well and the described procedure solved it. Thanks!
