Hi all,

I don't want to go into WindowsBlinds extremes, I would just like to change
a few of the colours in the default Windows XP style (ie: title bar or menu
bar). In classic style you can change those things, but I can't seem to
find a way using the XP style - there seems to be only 3 colour schemes,
Default (blue), Olive Green & Silver - can I make a variation on these? Is
there a third party program that allows one too make new colour schemes or
new styles (that doesn't slow the system down like WindowsBlinds) which will
work natively in WinXP?

Thanks,

Right click your desktop and select display properties. Then select the
Appearance tab, the Advanced. In the next window you will see an item
address window with a down arrow. Click on that and Tweak away. All this is
down while in your XP theme or any other.
Cheers Doug

Yes, I've tried this, it only affects Windows Classic Style - any of the
newer items such as menu bar or title bars under XP style remains
un-affected by these changes in advanced. Any other hints?

The only items whose colors you MIGHT be able to change in the XP-style
windows will show up in the list in Appearance.

See this site for a way to change all the colors:

You really might want to try WindowBlinds 4.2. It's hardware accelerated
now. It definitely won't slow your system down.

And if you install SkinStudio (http://www.skinstudio.net) you can easily
change the colors of specific parts of a window.

Or you can change the color of everything at once.
