Can I burn a word document to a cd?

I am trying to keep my word documents on a cd. I have some 5000 documents on
my harddrive so I need something that is capible of doing this for me to free
up my space. Is this possible? If so, can you tell me how, please?
 
This is a computer hardware issue as opposed to a WORD issue. Check the
documentation for the computer or the drive.
 
Yes, but _not_ from within Word. Use your CD burning software.
