Can I block " *@attbi.com "

I am receiving much spam for an old address. I have set a
rule to block "(e-mail address removed)" and things are
better. But apparently the rule wont block BCCs with that
address. However, the spam that is still getting through
has some-other-address@attbi in the "to" field.

Can I set up a rule to block ALL @attbi.com (*@attbi.com
doesn't work)?

Any ideas?

The rules do not have any "*" or logical blocks, but you should just be able
to add @attbi.com in the "From" category and it will block all users that
have that ending as you are not setting it up for a exact character match.
On the BCC block, that is harder to do as you cannot directly block it, I do
not know if it works, but you might try the option "Where the message body
contains specific words" as that sometimes seems to look at the entire
message and might find it. Other then that....

I have a similar situation with an old attbi address. Since the word
"attbi" may not even appear in the email header fields for a BCC, its
tough to filter it.

In my case, I don't use the Comcast email address that my old attbi
email was converted into, so I use the rule that checks for words in the
message header: check for "comcast.net" in the message header, and then
take the same action you are using for other blocked messages. Of
course, if you are actively using your Comcast email address, this won't
work for you.

Another technique that is working well for me (I get about 350-400 spams
a week, and block about 95% of them, with almost no false blocks) is to
start with a rule that exempts messages from anyone in your Contact
database from further checking. In your subsequent rules, you can then
be more "aggressive" in blocking messages, knowing that no existing
correspondents will be accidently blocked. You will still want to look
through your "blocked messages" folder occasionally, to be sure you
didn't inadvertently block a class of messages you wanted to receive.
