You might email them to yourself, using Gmail or some other webmail account
that you can access from anywhere. But the computer needs to allow you to
open downloaded documents--some library computers will not, for security
reasons.
You might transport the documents on a flash drive (though never directly
edit a word doc that is saved on removable media. Always copy to the local
computer, then copy back when done editing)
Why don't you ask the person whose computer you would be using what you
could do?
