Hi Seniors,

I have XP PRO and use FAT32, computer works fine and
stable but it don't has the file security and compression
features. I want to change from FAT32 to NTFS using
partition magic 8.0.
But someone said that if I change to NTFS, the floppy
drive may not be able to format floppy disk. Is that true?

TIA

Peter

The two are totally unrelated. I have NTFS on all my XP boxes and can
format floppies on them with no problem.

This is not true. Floppies are always formatted with a FAT filesystem.

Also, be aware that you can convert to NTFS by typing "convert c: /fs:ntfs"
at the command prompt.

I may be wrong, but don't floppies use a FAT12 format and
W95,98 used FAT16 and W98se allowed FAT32.
