Can emails be permanently deleted(non retrievable)from outlook?

I want to permanently delete emails from my computer that have been sent to a
particular microsoft outlook 2002 account so that they cannot be retrieved?

I'd delete the mail items, empty the Deleted Items folder then compact the
PST file a few times. Info on compacting here:
