can' delete folder

Can anyone help please. I put a folder on the desktop and
then decided not to use it. I cannot now delete it and
keep getting the message Can't delete folder. It is being
used by another person or program. I can find this empty
folder in "My Documents" and get the same message when
trying to delete it from there.

Try deleting it from Safe Mode.

Can you delete it once you've rebooted?
