Can custom properties be displayed in a cell?

If you go to the "File" menu and click "Properties" and then choose the
"Custom" tab you will see a list of custom properties if you have
defined any. I would like to have one of these custom properties
displayed in a cell. Is this possible?

For example I define the custom property "CurrentVersion" as a text
property equal to the value "1.2.3.4". I would like to be able to
reference "CurrentVersion" and have the cell display "1.2.3.4"
