CAN ANY ONE SAY HOW TO CHANGE THE TEMPORARY FOLDER

hi,
i have two drives and the thing i want to install takes some space in my
one of the drives (c:) and i dont have that much space in my drive so is
there a way to change the following temporary folder [c:\documents and
settings\username\local settings\temp] to d:\ where ever i want PLEASE HELP
ANY ONE THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Control Panel / System / Advanced / Environmental Variables.

And please do not write things all in upper case.
It's referred to as "shouting" in newsgroups, and
no one likes to be shouted at.
