Can an FX-53 Take PC4400 Ram?

Just a quicky, a friend is building a monster of a computer, and wants to know whether his FX-53 would be ok pair with PC4400 Ram?

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8NSNXP-939.

the FX-53 shoud be fine with PC4400 RAM but the mobo MAY struggle, this sort of ram is arguably designed for use with high end intel boards.

Nope! it may/may not work with that MB

I wouldn't bother waisting my money, just get the 400 stuff and be assured it will work.

I just would have thought with the high FSB of an FX chip it would relish in the presence of some Uber fast ram.

But i think a gig of PC3200 paired with an FX-53 chip should be enough for anyone!
