Calling aspnet_wp.exe

Does anyone know whether it is possible/advisable/stable to call
aspnet_wp.exe from a process besides the inetinfo.exe or dllhost.exe?
For example, is there a way of passing the form parameters in and
getting the response output?

Why would you want to do that? BTW: That has changed in win2003.. Its
w3wp.exe (??) .. I thnks?
 
The reason I ask is that I am interested in plugging existing ASP.Net
code into an install of the apache portal project, jetspeed.

The jetspeed developers have already already implemented support for
legacy perl and php running in "portlets." This is in addition to
existing support for native jsp portlets.

It would be very useful for asp.net developers to be able to leverage
the functional and integration features of jetspeed. Similarly, it
would expand the reach of jetspeed's relevance.

So that is basically why. But the question still stands, is it
possible/supported/advisable? From what I have seen it would likely
entail writing a dll much like aspnet_isapi.dll, but is the api to
aspnet_wp.exe generally known/documented. The code would likely be
java running under apache.

Why do you want to pluginto ASP.NET? Wouldn't it be enough to write a isapi
dll as a connector?
