I have Windows XP. Just recently, our call waiting stopped
working while we were online. Normally when someone would
call, a window would pop up and ask "ignore" or "answer"
it doesn't do this anymore. When someone is trying to
call, they say it rings and doesn't even give a busy
signal. I have checked my settings, and they say that call
waiting was not disabled. Anyone know what's wrong and how
I could get it back on my computer?

contact your isp provider.

ps. also check your dial up settings, perhaps the string to disable call
waiting
is being sent.

"In the To disable call waiting, dial box, click the appropriate code to
disable the Call Waiting feature, for example: *70, 70#, or 1170"

try typing call waiting in the windows help off the start button
