Is there a way to shade the bars that appear on a printed calendar so it is
more readable?
The way my Outlook 2000 is printing currently it is difficult to read.

I'm not sure which bars you're referring to, so I can't answer your question
directly. But many people find that the built in print styles in Outlook
don't meet their needs. You might want to take a look at some free Word
templates that use your Outlook calendar data to create a calendar in Word,
which you can then customize to your liking. I personally use My Outlook
Calendar and am very pleased with it. Links to these templates can be found
here:

When an event is scheduled over several days there are bars on the calendar
that represent that event.
On the printed calendar, all of these bars are jet black with white writing.
I want to find out if these bars could have different colors assigned to
them...some other formatting that would make it more readable.

Dave

As far as I know, there's no way to do this within Outlook itself.

So your suggestion would still be to do the Export to MS Word using the
Outlook calendar template?

Dave

Yes. The templates give you colorizing options, and if you don't like
those, you can wait till the calendar is actually created (you are asked for
color choices before this happens) and then change them to your liking.
It's a bit more work than you were hoping for, probably, but it beats the
built in Outlook print styles by a mile...
