Anyone know about Calendar controls and how to set a default date and how to block out certain days in different colours
Is this possible with the calendar available on Access?

AFAIK the Calendar Control is not capable of this behaviour.
Besides you will get version problems sooner or later when you
distribute your app.

I'd suggest locating an Access form which would allow you to customize
the form any way you want.
