Calculator launches in Word

When working in Microsoft Word, a calculator sometimes pops up. It may be
occuring when I use the letter 'c', but it also seems to happen with other
keys and it appears to happen intermittently. If you know how to do it, I
would appreciate getting the function disabled.

This is almost certainly nothing native to Word. Word has a very old, very
limited calculating ability: you type in an equation, then run the command,
and the result appears in the status bar. Nothing like what you describe.

This leads me to believe you have may have an Addin installed, some kind of
Windows software that's reacting to your keyboard, or possibly a virus. Which
version of Word are you using?
