Calculation takes an hour and a half

I have build an extremely large spreadsheet that takes
over an hour and a half to recalculate using a 2.6 ghz
processor.

Is there anything I can do to cut down on the time it
takes to recalc? Is this normal? Or do you expect I have
some inefficient coding?

Anything you can do? Insufficient information as to what you are doing to
answer.

Is this normal? For most tasks, 1.5 hrs is excessive, though not always.

Inefficient coding? Very likely.

Please provide more detail as to what you are attempting to accomplish and
provide some code snippets. Then we can try to assist you. But right now,
it is like saying you are getting 12-15 mpg and is that normal? If you are
driving a Hummer, maybe. If you are driving a 4 cyclinder Honda, no.

Without better and more detailed information, our hands are tied.
