calculating times (hours and miniutes) on a time sheet

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me with a formula that will calculate
times on a time sheet. I tried =TEXT(P18-P15,"h:mm") but don'y think this is
the one. I have a shift start time for example 8:26 AM and shift end at 6:15
PM and would like my hours worked to be calculated automatically. Thanks a
bunch!

Should work (does in XL2003) or alternatively do:

=P18-P15 and format cell as h:mm
