Calculate a checksum (e.g. md5) on a group of cells

Hi,

I have a large excelsheet with several small tables in it. These tables
contains links to source table.

I would like to be able to calculate a checksum on each and every one of the
small tables to be able to get an indication that the specific table has
changed due to an updated row in the source table.

A function that creates a md5-checksum on a group of cells would be perfect.
Does anyone have that or possibly another solution available?
