I have tried everything and cannot get an icon to show up for my CAC reader.
I am trying to install a SCR111 on my computer and when I go to add hardware
it shows as correctly installed. PLEASE HELP!

It's not enough to install the drivers for the card reader, you also
have to install some sort of 3rd party application, such as ActivCard,
to provide the interface between the card reader and the operating system.

Well at least you're ONLY posting from QWest. :-)

Use and setup of a CAC is NOT the subject matter for public consumption ! This is an
International public News Group.
Please contact you local DOIM.

First get rid of that junk ! The SCR-111 is a Smart Card reader that conects to 9-pin
serial port and the PS/2 keyboard port. It has a high failure rate and has problems with
reading cards as they get used. Contact your DOIM and get a USB based Smart Card reader or
if you are on a notebook get a PCMCIA Smart Card reader. You will also need Middleware such
at NetSIGN or ActiveCard Gold.
