Hello!

Posted a few questions here as I have the Beta of 2005 (VS) and think C# is
amazing. I'm a Delphi developer of 6 years, but desperate to cross over to
C#. Anyone know of:

1. A company in Scotland (Closer to Edinburgh) that would take on a
developer and X-Train ?
2. A way to get into a company by doing courses that would enable me to say
I have a years experience?

I wish it was a simple task.. :(

Thanks!
Craig

Aye, this is the problem.. Loads down South...
We've just (4 weeks ago) had our first child ... so .. not a great time to
move. :(

Thank though!

A lot of the scots banks are recruiting presently, and most of it is not
done through job ads..................put your CV into a local agency and
see if they come up with anything.

You might be surprised at how many contracts are available for homeworkers
these days, even more so part-home / part-on-site...

I wish I could find one working from home - even part time...............lol

If you know of any let me know too....

That would be the most ideal thing to find, but no commercial experience is
the problem for me... Need to get that sorted out...

My previous Delphi job was based at home. Did it for two years, but .. you
need the human interaction. The dog and I, although I love the wee guy, just
didn't have great conversations. :)

isn't it a shame he cant accompnay you to the office
though.............wouldn't your day be so much more pleasant!!

you need the human interaction.

Sure, but location is irrelevant. In my last major homeworking contract, the
company didn't have any "real" offices at all - everything was done
remotely, and their business was run through a load of servers hosted with
their ISP. All phone calls were via Skype, all of the project related stuff
was via SharePoint, code was managed via VssConnect on top of Visual
SourceSafe... etc

I had as much human interaction as I could possibly want - all without
leaving the house :-)
