i dont need beginners book, something intermediate will be fine. i have done
some programming in python, before. i have learned C# and did some of asp.net
programming

OK. I got Petzold's book, like you I had previous programming experience
and I was disappointed with it. Perhaps other people may have some better
suggestions?
Chris Sell's book is very good: Windows Forms Programming in C#,
Addison-Wesley.
