How do I create a document with Windows XP??? There's no
Create document" icon. I thought computers were supposed
to be better and more versatile than typewriters!
How do I find a phone number for microsoft? None of
their help sites list any, and getting online help is
impossible -- I get shuttled through endless menu sites.
Is microsoft consciously trying to discourage users or
get people to buy Macs? Are the help sites just pretend?
The first step into their contact site is a
question: "How did you obtain your product"? What does
this mean??? What's my product? Doesn't microsoft realise
this question's confusing? If they mean my computer they
don't leave anyplace for me to type in the name of the
store where I bought it. I've got more questions but need
to send this before the page disappears like my last try
did, and I'll never find this site again so someone
please email me if you can help. Thanks

too many questions.....................
right click to new to whatever kind of document you want
to create....folder or text document.
product is your software....or might be keyboard....or
mouse....product is usually something.
phone numbers are found in contact us section of site.
check manual or 'about' window in xp
no emails use newsgroup learn to use favorites too many
harvesters out there getting email addresses.

Could you please try help and support from
START|HELP and SUPPORT
it's always a good place to start

Wordpad is located in
Start| All Programs| Accessories| wordpad
if you need a more sophisticated word processor you will
need to buy it.

Take the computer back to the store and exchange it for lots of paper and
pencils, oh and probably plenty of erasers, too.

You run a word processing program. Have you installed such a
program?
