Byteverify virus

Hi,
I have norton installed and updated, but a virus came
under the radar and now I am infected. I have the above
virus and would, need to get rid of it. Problem is
norton won't load, I get a kernel 32 error. It wouldn't
let me reinstall either. Any ideas? HELP!!!

Thanks, but I found that page as well. The problem is
that I can't get Norton to load to run the system scan.
Every time that I attempt to run Norton to start it up, I
get an error dialog box saying that I have a kernel
error. I think if I could get Norton up and running then
I could do the system scan. I have been toying with the
idea of doing a system restore or maybe deleted the java
cashe of the plug ins. What do you think? Thanks.
 
Well, you can disregard these posts. I decided a good
clean fresh start was in order so I reinstalled XP. Just
wished that MS would get it together on the security
issues. Seems like this has been a problems that keeps
getting worse. Just my 2 cents.
