Buying in Asia

Does anyone have any experience of this? I am going to OZ soon and as i said earlier, im gonna buy a laptop out there. But someone suggested to me that i could buy one if i stop over in bangkok or somewhere like that. Is it pretty cosher to buy from out there? How would the warranty work etc?

Just wondering if anyone had experience of this. I will probably only be in the airport, so im not sure if that will still be cheap.

Asia is an AMAZING place to purchase lots of goodies !

I went to Singapore for a month, and the prices just AMAZE you !

It's one of the most technological countries. I was the first person in my school to have a mini ipod. :)

If you want something before England ... Deffiantly buy from Asia :) Great place.

The airport i was in, had lots of goodies aswell, we didn't have that long to look around but aftershaves etc ... cheapla !

I might be moving to Singapore when in college :) Have some relatives out there.

We went into a I.T Mall and my god !!! It's like nothing you have seen before !!! 6 Floors of pure computer heaven !!! The latest technology in EVERYTHING !!!

Basically ... ASIA = TOP PLACE !!!

About the warranty thing, i havn't experienced anything wrong with the stuff i bought so far ... Mini Ipod works fine ... this pc working great lol :)

Some manufacturer's honour their warranty worldwide, others don't.

It will also vary between different types of goods.

It may be a good idea to shortlist about six laptops then check on each manufacturer's website as to their warranty arrangements.

A friend of mine bought a Sony laptop en route to Australia, it went wrong after nine months but Sony would only honour the warranty on UK-bought models, so he had to pay for the repair. So be careful.

What ever you dont buy AMD Processors if you go there. the police raided a place that were manufacturing the processors illegally (<-spelling?). they dont know how many of them were shipped out... i do belive some were taken to germany, ill check up on that.
 
Yes it's all REAL stuff.
