Buttons not working

Hi,
since a few days i have the problem that no buttons on webpages are
functional.
I can use links and fill out text boxes but when i click a button nothing
happens. For example i can type a serch string into google but when i click
on the search button nothing happens. That's just an example, the buttons i
click will not work on any website i tried.
I used adaware and cleaned up some malware but the problem persists.
Any help welcome.

Ad-Aware won't catch everything.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
