I re-install a pc ith wxphe, and it went well until i haven't added the
second hd... it was an old win9x.... when i start the pc my drive c: became
i: and the old disk c:.
Now i've that pc start with xp from i:, i tried also removing the disk,
changing the letter of i: but it's system-marked and xp don't let you do this.
the trouble is that the installation of many program REQUIRE c: exist, even
if not system disk.
must i re-install all?

So many things not known from your post......
What kind of disk interface, set as master, slave, ID etc ...., what else
connected on those interfaces, have you manually set drive letters- check
and you can remove/change or try setting as C: yourself (I use R for read
only CD/DVD drives and W for Write drives),
