Busted serial port

Hi guys
Anyone know if you get a spare serial port on an addon card as mine has stopped working. Don't really want to replace the motherboard.
Any advice appreciated.

If you have an ISA slot it would be really easy to get an addon card from a computer fair or something similar for about £2... if you want a PCI varient, I think they are available for about £10. There are USB convertors, but they will be most expensive.

Is it certain that the serial port is at fault? :confused:
 
Thanks Ian for the reply. Not sure its the serial port but have 2 devices that used to work with it but don't now , so i reckon it is.
