Hi everyone, i wonder if anyone can help me with this. I've never used Vista
as my current PC is running XP but i'm considering buying a new laptop. This
particular laptop comes with Vista business edition and just like to know
whether there is any downside to the Business edition compared to the others
versions

Compare Vista Editions:

That comparative chart posted by Microsoft is NOT complete enough to allow
anyone to make an informed decision about which version of Vista to choose.
My advice - choose none and move on to a real operating system - Ubuntu.

Cheers.

Every edition except Ultimate has downsides, because they each have a
different subset of the full complement of features found in Ultimate.

Which edition is best for *you* depends on you particular needs and
desires. Missing some feature doesn't matter if the feature is one you
would never use. Read about the feature sets here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/editions/choose.mspx

or better, here: http://support.teloep.org/vistaver.htm

Having said all the above, for most home users, Vista Home Premium is
the best choice.
