Business and Tenants

Hi to all,

A business and tenants reside in the same building. There is one broadband
router. Tenants do not have internet access, but will be getting soon The
business are concerned that if the tenants get internet access through the
businesses router, that tenants will have access to the business network
resources. Will this be the case?

Also, would it be best to put the tenants on a separate internet connection
via another phone line?

I would put them on a seperate line. For example you might have a tennant
who leave a peer to peer app running all day, this would seriously affect
the business's internet bandwidth.
 
As long as there is only one router it will be possible for the tenants to
see anything on the business network and vice versa. It will also be
possible for any viruses or worms to cross all computers on the network.
Get the tenants their own line.
