I am trying to burn a folder of pictures to a disk. I copy the folder to my
disk drive and it shows that it is on the disk. However, when I put the disk
in a different computer it shows nothing on the disk. I put it back in my
computer and it is there. What am I doing wrong?

Open your burning program. Select the proper function. Browse to the folder
with the pix. Open the folder. Click on one pix and Ctrl+A will highlight
all the pix. Add this to the session rather than the folder itself.

Hi Jen !

As you said you are trying to burn the folders on to the disc, but you are
unable to do that. I think, you are copying up the folder where you got all
the pictures & then you go to the My Computer >> Then open up the CD\DVD
drive & pasting the folder in there. I hope, if you doing it the way as I
said we are not burning the disc properly.

Go to the below link, as on there we got the screen shot's for “ "How do I
burn a CD-R in Windows XP"

http://dallas.tamu.edu/e-learn/WinXP-CD_Burn.html

Follow the steps & hope it would work. If you are using a third party
software to burn disc, like Nero, Roxio..or any other software. Please revert
back with the Software name & will get you directed in to the right direction.

If I read your post correctly, you are using a program such as Roxio to
drag files onto your CD. Many of thes programs use a proprietary
interface to copy onto disks and can only be read on computers that
have the same (e.g. Roxio) software installed. In order to see these
pictures/files/folders on any computer, you have to "Finalize" the CD.
Launch your disk-burning program and look for a "Finalize Disk" option.
Once finalized, the CD can be read on any computer but you can no
longer add files to the disk.

John
