BURNING MUSIC ON TO CD

I am burning music from my Windows Media Player & Real Player on my PC onto a
CD-R disc.

However, when I play the CD back there are a lot of crackles in the music.

Does anyone know how to deal with this problem?

Burn at a slower speed. i.e. 12x
