Burning files changes date modified

I have recently noticed that when I copy files to a CDR or
CDRW, either using NERO, Powerdesk or the generic Windows
XP Explorer, the date of these files changes to the system
date. This means the original dates of the files cannot be
preserved. This is a real annoyance.

Is there a setting to correct this, or is it a known issue?
I couldn't find anything to alter this and I do not have
this problem on my Win 2K machine

Thx
Billy

In NERO there is a option to use the "original file date".
When I try to burn a new CD it shows me a screen with some Tabs across the
top one of the Tabs says "Date".
You can set it there.
