After making a playlist from songs I've downloaded from
my own CD's. I try to burn a CD and it will only burn
the first 6 songs. Then it stops and won't continue
burning the other 12 or so songs. A message comes up that
reads.......windows media player did not copy all the
selected items. The player has reduced the recording
speed of your CD drive to solve the problem. Try again.
I try again and it does the same thing.

.

Your recording speed is too fast. Slow it down some.
By the time the player reduces the recording speed it is
too late.
You can change the speed here:
Start/My Computer/rightclick your CD-Rom
drive/Properties/Recording tab. It is probably set
on "Fastest", change it to 24X or 16X to get it to record
all your songs.
