Hello....I am using 'Roxio DVD Builder' and I have Divx & Avi movies
downloaded to my computer. However I can not get Roxio to burn a DVD copy for
me. Any suggestions?

If the DVD you wish to burn has copyright protection,
you cannot burn a copy, for obvious reasons.

Maybe something like DVDXCopy would work... have you tried any other
software to burn it? I had to go through several programs to get one that
did most of what I wanted..

At what point is Roxio refusing to burn the DVD?

In layman's term, he means to say, "DON'T COMMIT SOFTWARE PIRACY!" Programs
like DVDXCopy, that the other gentleman recommended 'break' the copyright
protection on most movie DVDs which is why they are no longer in business
here in the US.

First it is software, it is a movie. Second, to create AVI's out of
copy-protected sources, the copy-protection has already been broken.

And 321 studios is out of business because they could no longer affored
the legal fees to fight the MPAA Trust in court.. What small company
could fight Hollywood.

DVDs are MPG2 format.. You should convert them first.
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/
( The above site should help you find tools that will convert/burn as you
desire. )

Also, if you need to backup your personal DVD collection, I highly recommend
DVDShrink:
