Bumb Mini PCI Modem Code 19

I fired up my laptop tonight to get it ready to sell. I removed several of my programs from the computer. Sure enough, I somehow screwed up the moden. The computer won't recognize it...although it will recognize the card. I pulled out the modem and replaced it. The computer still doesn't recognize. What have I done? Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks! Bill
