Hi

Is there any way to make a bulleted list in Excel 97 because I have
gone through the help menu and I cannot find it.

No that's not really what Excel is for. Try using Word and if you want to
give it Excel 'shape' use a Table

Not automatically ... unless you use a macro.
Could possibly be done manually, if you think it's worth the trouble and
could meet your presentation goals.

For example, you could insert a narrow column where the margin might be of
your text, and then, depending on which character you wish to use for a
bullet, format it for WingDings, and then type either:
Upper case "S"
Upper case "R"
Or any lower case letter from l thru w,
and see what you get.
