Bullets and numbering

I am attempitng to create an oultine in Microsoft Word 2000. I go to
Format/Bullets and Number/Outline. Then I select the outline style that I
want. It puts the first line in (I.) and I type my information in, but when
I hit enter, it doesn't put the next roman numeral in (II.). Does anyone
know how I can make this automatically change without going to Format/Bullets
and Numbering again? Thanks!

Which Outline Style are you choosing? If it's on the bottom row of choices,
chances are it's linked to the Heading Styles. If you apply heading styles to
you text, the outline will build itself.

Have you tried going to the tools menu, Auto-correct options, Auto correct as
you type and selecting the "Automatic numbered List" under APPLY AS YOU TYPE?
